Level 1 (Currently for 8th Grade only)

Audio/Visual Production - Not offered this year due to staffing shortage.

Audio/Visual Production courses provide to students the knowledge and skills necessary for television, video, film, photography and/or radio production. Writing scripts, camera operation, use of graphics and other visuals, lighting, audio techniques, editing, production principles, and career opportunities are typical topics covered within production courses. Students are usually required to produce their own program, segment, public service announcement, or the like. Students will also learn the basics of digital photography and photo editing techniques.


Productions (Yearbook/Newspaper)  Offered as a normal elective; not CTE this year.

Productions is made up of a select group of 8th grade students via an application process.  Students in class are responsible for creating the Wayne Carle Yearbook. Yearbook responsibilities include photographing classrooms and school events, creating a theme and building yearbook pages. Newspaper reporting will be the secondary focus of this class. Responsibility and being self-directed are musts for this class. Please see the counselors for more information.
