Hello, I am Ms. Jenn and I will returning for my 2nd year at Swanson, working in the ASD Center. I thoroughly enjoy my job and look forward to all the milestones I will see our kids achieve. I am excited to be a part of the Swanson team.
Hi I'm Nicole! I majored in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at CU Boulder and consider myself a bit of a nature nerd. I've always enjoyed working with kids and in addition to several years in childcare, I have substituted as a teacher and paraprofessional for DPS and then eventually landed at Swanson as a Literacy Tutor for the end of the 2023-2024 school year. I'm super excited to be working in the ASD Center Program this year!
Hi! I am Allyssa! I double majored from MSU Denver after running track and field with a bachelor in Criminology/Criminal Justice and Psychology in May of 2024. I became and RBT for a while before becoming a Para for the ASD program this last January! I am super excited to be working in the center program again this upcoming school year (2025-2026). I love these kids/ the environment and although I promised my parents I would never be in education like they were, I digress and now I think I found my home to grow into!
Hello, I am Ms. Dannielle and I have worked for Jefferson county for 20 years. This is my 6th year at Swanson Elementary School.
I have four kids: a 25 year-old, two 20 year-old boys and a 18 year-old daughter who also attend Jefferson county public schools.
I grew up in Basalt and enjoyed all the wonderful things that are Colorado. I have a little sister that participated in the Special Olympics and it taught me from a young age that our differences are what make us special. I was privileged to be able to help with the athletes. I was a foster Mom for a 2 years. I have an amazing son who keeps me busy and smiling. I have enjoyed my short time working in the ASD center and am looking forward to next year. The students give me many opportunities to learn and enjoy my day.
Hi! I moved a ton growing up but I spent most of my time here in Colorado! I grew up facing many challenges as an autistic kid. I worked very hard and with the help of my teachers growing up I managed to become a well functioning autistic adult. That's what inspired me to work in special education! Working with these amazing kids has been such a fulfilling journey.
