Grading:

If you see a star, smiley face, check mark or heart on your child's work it represents a completion grade. In kindergarten we are working on responsibility.

If you see a numeral grade, the work was graded with a specific learning target in mind using a scale from 1-4.

1= Needs extra practice (Student shows they need extra support with learning target)

2- Making progress (Student shows they understand learning target most of the time)

3- Proficient (Student shows they understand learning target consistently)

4-Above Proficient (Student shows they understand the learning target at great depth and can apply their knowledge in a variety of settings)
