In RVHS Visual Arts classes students do all sorts of amazing and challenging things.

Each class maintains a sketch journal which is used to record reflections, vocabulary, experiment with media and practice. Depending which class you or your child is enrolled in we’ll learn; to throw on the potters’ wheel, about design substructures, color theory, drawing techniques.

It is my goal that all students will learn through the visual arts a strong capability to solve problems in a creative and integrated manner, which layers and transfers learning from one content or discipline to another. In other words, doing what artists do.
