This piece is meant to capture me as a metaphor: the metaphor being a building. This piece captures that aspect nicely through the things in the windows of the building acting as "windows" into myself, such as things about me or highlights of my life. It also has 14 floors like how I am 14 years old (at least at the time of writing). My work represents craft through the use of watercolor, H2O pencil, sharpie, and colored pencil throughout, plus the detail of the building. It also represents Composition through The rule of odds, emphasis, and unity. I learned how to Implement personal elements and how to use H2O pencil while creating this piece. Judah B. 9th grade
I find working on realistic portraits hard, so this painting challenged me which is demonstrates challenge. This was successful because the painting does look like me. I learned how to incorporate interesting colors in a skintone.

I used cross hatching, scribble, hatch, and blend on the leaves of my drawing. Then I used blending, hatching, and stippling on the skull of my drawing. Finally, I used a mix of both blending and stippling for the flowers. I used rule of cropping, rule of focal point, rule of overlapping, rule of direction, and rule of rest to compliment the drawing.
