Our PTA works hard to support students, teachers, and families — but we can’t do it without more volunteers.
We’re inviting all families to join us on April 13 in the Coronado Library for a casual, welcoming Volunteer Fair + Meet & Greet (with a Qdoba nacho bar 🌮).
This is a chance to:
Meet the PTA board
Learn about current and upcoming opportunities
Share your ideas for future events
Find a level of involvement that works for your schedule
Event Chairs for School Dance & Talent Show (these events are at risk without leadership)
Volunteers for this year’s Science Fair
Early planning for next fall’s Read-A-Thon
Flexible, light-lift volunteers
New ideas and fresh energy
There are roles big and small — but they all matter.
The truth is simple:
If we don’t have enough support, some programs and events will not continue next year.
We hope you’ll join us, connect with other parents, and consider how you can contribute.
💛 Even a small commitment makes a meaningful difference.

This year showed us what’s possible when our community shows up.
Our Read-A-Thon was a huge success, raising meaningful funds that went directly back into our school — refreshing the teachers’ lounge, purchasing new Mimeo boards for classrooms, and continuing the much-needed upgrades to the outdoor basketball court.
Our efforts also support Coronado Cares, our internal program that quietly and compassionately helps families in our school community when they need it most.
None of that happens without parents stepping forward.
As we begin planning for next year, we truly need more volunteers to keep some of our favorite traditions going — including the Read-A-Thon, School Dance, and Talent Show. Without additional support, these events are at risk.
There isn’t just one way to be involved. You can participate in a way that feels right for you.
Think of it as your own “choose your adventure”:
• Board leadership
• Event chair
• Committee member
• Behind-the-scenes planning
• Light-lift, once-a-year help
Whether you have a little time or a lot, it all matters. Many hands make lighter work — and keep the fun (and impact) alive for our kids.
If you’re curious, I’d love to connect.
You’re welcome to explore more on our PTA website, or simply call or text me directly with questions. I’m happy to chat and help you find a role that fits your schedule and comfort level.
We can’t do it without you — and we truly don’t want to. 💛

Coronado PTA is here to support our students, teachers, and parents! Throughout the year we promote school involvement and raise money to fund school improvement initiatives focused on student achievement and wellness such as technology (Chrome Books, Smart Boards, Spheros), Musical Instruments, Author Visits, Assemblies & Playground Improvements.
Funds we earn combined with help from volunteers allow us to put fun activities together throughout the year. Some of these include: Family Movie Night, Donuts with Grown-Ups, Reflections, Science Fair, School Dance, Talent Show, Carnival, and so much more!
