ASCENT is a program opportunity for current seniors. It has a nomination window of November-February 1.
ASCENT is a "5th Year high school" program. After completing high school, students can take courses for one year, full time, at Front Range Community College, Red Rocks Community College, Community College of Denver, Arapahoe Community College or Metropolitan State University, full time, tuition paid. The main requirement for eligibility is that students have to have completed 12 hours of college credit before the completion of 12th grade (through AP test scores, Concurrent Enrollment, or Warren Tech credits). Only 9th, 10th and 11th grade AP scores can be used. 12th grade AP scores are not received until June. See the attachments below for more detailed information and the full list of requirements.
