For the last several weeks, students in Theater Arts, Technical Theatre and Theatre Production have been writing original 10-minute plays and they do staged readings of their pieces on December 5 & 6.
October 14-16: Little Women by Marsha Chamberlain Auditions and 1st Read Through
Students are auditioning for the one-act play Little Women by Marsha Chamberlain, and will recieve a grade based on the following audition criteria:
Projection/Clarity: Student's voice is clearly heard and understood by the audience.
Character Emotions: Student uses appropriate voice inflection and physical/facial expression to convey character emotions.
Character Choices: Student makes choices in the scene that would be appropriate for that character.
Connection: Student connects with others during the scene.
Schoolhouse Rock, Live, Jr. Performance Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 6 p.m.
Cast and Crew Information:
On Monday, we will have our final dress from 4:15-5:00 and then have our Understudy Performance from 5:15–6 p.m. If your student is an understudy, you are welcome to come to the Understudy Performance at 5:15 p.m. We will have student greeters meet you at the door and escort you to the gym to view the performance. All cast and crew are called until 6 p.m. or whenever we have cleaned up and are ready to head out.
Performance Details: Our performance of Schoolhouse Rock Live, Jr. will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Cast should report at 5:15 p.m. Their costume is their Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. tie dye shirt with jeans or leggings and sneakers or dance shoes. Please no sandals, crocs or flip flops. Students will be released as soon as we do a basic strike and clean up of the gym as we have to have the gym back to original condition for the next day’s classes.
