Technical (Tech) Theatre (Periods 5 & 6): This course provides the opportunity for students to explore the elements and art or technical theatre. These beginning "techies" will learn to explore and interpret scripts to create and execute theatrical designs and plans. Through various projects, stage work, and virtual/in-class presentations, students will gain the confidence and skills to become theatre technicians.
Theatre Arts (Periods 1): Theatre Arts will provide opportunities for students to create, perform, and critically respond to dramatic works while they develop basic knowledge of theatre history, technical theatre, elements of production, and performance technique.
Theatre Production(Period 3): This course is designed for students who have previous acting and production experience, and are seeking to create, perform and critically respond in ways that will help them improve their craft and prepare them for high school theater and beyond. Focus will be on building the ensemble and working on musical theatre elements while perfecting individual techniques in auditioning, acting, vocal technique, dance and play writing. Students in this course are expected to perform and communicate at a high level and are encouraged to take on leadership roles.

I’m looking forward to singing with you and bringing the joy of vocal perfromances back to our school.
I'm thrilled to be starting my 6th year as the Theatre Arts teacher here at Carmody! The arts are my passion, and it is such a joy to encourage young artists to find their own passions whether it is performing on stage, creating technical elements, exploring music or even playwriting. Theatre offers students a chance to explore all these things while developing community and life-long friendships.
In addition to teaching, I am also a professional actor and playwright. I regularly perform with the Wesley Players in Highlands Ranch, and I've also performed in Shakespeare at Clement Park, The Polar Express and the Englewood Summer Drama Program. Most recently, I was in Footloose, where I played Eleanor Dunbar and also was a part of the Choir.
It is my mission to inspire a love of the arts while helping students to find their passion that helps them achieve their greatest success in school and in live.
