FitnessGram
Jeffco students participate in FitnessGram, a program that assesses three general components of health-related physical fitness which have been identified as important to overall health and function.
At West Jeff, we assess aerobic capacity with the PACER test, a 20 meter progressive, multi-stage shuttle run set to music; muscular strength with curl up and push up tests; and flexibility with a shoulder stretch test.
Jeffco has benchmarks set at 5th, 7th and 9th grades. At West Jeff, we test all of our students, but only our 7th grade families will receive a full score report sent home by the district.
