Care and Repair
Avoiding Expensive Repairs
Don't leave your Chromebook in vehicles or extremely hot/cold environments for extended periods of time.
*Excessive hot/cold temperatures are hard on all computers and Chromebooks are no exception. Leaving your Chromebook in a car during sports/after school activities or overnight can expose your Chromebook to extreme hot or cold temperatures, which will damage the motherboard.
Always keep your Chromebook in the protective case.
Remove all objects (papers/pencils) before closing the lid.
*Pens/pencils/items left on keyboards when a lid is closed cause more screen damage than anything else.
Never hold the Chromebook by the screen.
Never set anything heavy on the lid.
Keep water and other liquids away from your Chromebook.
Battery Life and System Updates
Avoid letting your battery get below a 5% charge.
