I was born and raised in France, and went to college at the Université de Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales, where I earned a Master's Degree in French (the equivalent of an English degree in the US) and a Minor in French as a Second Language (the equivalent of ESL). I then studied and worked for Colorado College as a Head Resident, Adjunct Professor and taught a semester in France. Since then, I have worked in various educational settings ranging from evening classes for adults and children, a school for twice-gifted children, middle and secondary schools. This is my 10th year at Standley Lake. I am a member of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF), the Colorado Congress of Foreign Language Teachers (CCFLT), and have served on the Jeffco Public Schools' Advisory Team for World Languages. I also work as a freelance translator.

On the personal side, I am married and the mother of five wonderful, productive and bilingual adult children. I love getting together with family and friends, traveling, reading, playing music, painting, and many outdoor activities such as biking, running, swimming, hiking, skiing, and rollerblading...
