The Lakewood High School Poms Dance Team brings the rhythm, energy, and precision that light up every game and assembly. Known for their athleticism and artistry, these dancers perform dynamic jazz, pom, and hip-hop routines that celebrate Tiger pride and electrify the crowd. Poms typically perform at various halftime games & school pep rallies, representing the heart and spirit of Lakewood High School with every turn and formation.
Beyond the spotlight, team members develop leadership, discipline, and lifelong friendships — embodying what it means to move with pride, strength, and unity.
The Lakewood High School Competition Team represents the highest level of athleticism and school pride within our program. These athletes dedicate extra hours perfecting advanced stunts, choreography, and crowd-leading skills to showcase the very best of LHS spirit.
Each season, the team trains to compete at the Jeffco League Cheer Competition, where Lakewood proudly performs alongside the top programs in Jefferson County. The 2025 Jeffco League marks another exciting opportunity for our Tigers to shine—combining precision, teamwork, and unshakable Tiger pride.
Each summer, our Lakewood Varsity Cheer team heads to Colorado State University in Fort Collins for the UCA Overnight Camp — an unforgettable week of spirit, skill, and team bonding. Surrounded by hundreds of athletes from across the state, our Tigers train with national UCA staff, perfect new stunts, sharpen game-day routines, and bring home fresh ideas to ignite school spirit all year long.
Beyond the mats, the CSU campus experience builds friendships, confidence, and leadership skills that last well beyond the season. It’s one of our favorite traditions — where Lakewood Cheer becomes a true family and our year of excellence begins.
