Social-emotional learning (SEL) is the process of developing the self-awareness, self-control & interpersonal skills that are vital for school, work, and life success. Social emotional learning occurs in all parts of a child’s life. At school, these skills and understanding are developed throughout the student’s day with the school and classroom procedures, interactions with others, learning and behavior expectations and supports, and direct instruction
