by Michael Beckwith, Instructional Coach
Hello again team and welcome to KIBBLE! Every Bulldog needs sustenance. It is my hope these updates help you thrive. In this issue, I want to formally introduce myself and share what it is that I do for our community as Instructional Coach.
For those of you that do not know, I am Michael Beckwith and this will be my second year as a member of the Bulldog family. Overall, this is my twelfth year teaching in the articulation area having spent ten years at Arvada Middle/K-8. Before I came to the realm of education, I spent time as a test engineer and as a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force. Lastly, as a Colorado NATIVE, I graduated from Arvada West. I am a proud and loyal Arvada guy!
Finally, I would like to welcome you back from summer vacation. I hope break was grand and full of fun and rest. I love the vibe I’m feeling as we begin our journey this year. Please seek me out if you have any questions. Have a great week!

This year I am excited to be taking on the position of Instructional Coach. In this capacity, I wear several hats. This is how I support our community:
Occasionally I will send information concerning opportunities I come across. I will try to be specific to your area needs. This time I have two items to share with you:
If you do not have a required meeting Monday and Mr. Sampson and Euler sparked an interest in the PBL process, Jeffco is conducting an Applied Imagination Summit Monday (August 15th) at the Ed Center from 1 to 4 o’clock. You can register for the summit with ESS code: DCTEAI. This is a great opportunity to talk with those who have experimented with PBL units and bounce ideas around with like minded educators from across the district.
Big changes to C-CAP are on the horizon. The office in charge of the revamp would love your input on what works and, more importantly, what doesn’t work with your current C-CAP document. Don’t miss this opportunity to make your voice heard as they conduct this work. The link to share your thoughts is here: Feedback on Jeffco’s Curriculum.
