Family Picture-My husband Tom and I, our children Angela (20), Bethany (22), Jeremiah (24) and our daughter-in-law Amanda
I'm in my 15th School Year working for Jefferson County Public Schools. My first 5 years I was a Special Education Paraprofessional Educator, and for the last 10 years I've been a Special Education Teacher. My first year teaching I taught as a Special Education Teacher as a Learning Specialist. Then for the past 9 years I have taught in the Affective Needs (AN) Intermediate Center Based Program as a Special Education Teacher and have been teaching at Glennon Heights for the past 8 years.
I'm also married and have three of my own children. All three of which are totally different learners and have completely different personalities. I believe all my children have really helped me as a teacher in helping me understand that each child is unique and learns differently and at different paces. It is my goal to work with and meet each of my students where they are at by focusing on their strengths and needs with both their academics and social/emotional needs. I can also help my students grow and learn, so they can become the best students they can possibly be. A desire and hope of mine is also to be a TEAM and have a Partnership with all my students parents/guardians. So please don’t hesitate to call, email, or even stop by before or after school if you have any questions or concerns.
