D'Evelyn's outstanding baseball program is unique among the myriad Jeffco Public School sports in that there are numerous field, team and individual needs not financed by district fees or DEF contributions (e.g., practice equipment, spring break varsity trip, complete uniforms, etc.). As such, the Jags Baseball Club was created to promote and encourage community participation in and support for the program. Managed by volunteer parents, the group generally meets the second Tuesday of each month to conduct business; player/parent attendance and input is requested. Jags Baseball Club raises funds through various activities and player fees, which are then used to support D'Evelyn baseball teams. Each fall a budget including anticipated incomes and expenses is prepared and presented to the membership.
One or two meetings each year are mandatory for players and parents. Officers are elected during the May meeting. The Club's By-Laws are available below.
