Fundraising and Volunteer Opportunities

In order to raise funds necessary for the baseball program to grow and to hold down expenses, Jags Baseball relies on parents and other volunteers to get involved in the following:

Field maintenance: fall and spring as needed by coach; weather dependent (parents and players).

Concesssion Stand: One or more parents coordinate; all spring and summer season home games. At least 3 parents needed each game (2 concessions/1 scoreboard/announce); volunteer through Sign-up Genius - profit goes to team.

Peach Sales: players sell Colorado peaches in July/August - 2 coordinators needed; half of profit goes to program, the other half goes into player's account.

Fertilizer Sales: players sell fertilizer in February/March - 2 coordinators needed; additional help/truck needed on pick up day; profit goes to individual player accounts to offset travel, certain uniform needs and/or summer expenses.

D'Evelyn Dash: third Saturday in August - team booth (apparel sales and games) - volunteers (parents and players) needed for set up and shifts- profit goes to program; and DEF food booth - shift volunteers needed- money goes to program.

D'Evelyn Auction: November - Jags Baseball requested to donate auction items and purchase table for the D'Evelyn Education Foundation fundraiser -- some funds come back to program.

Dugout Bricks: 1 coordinator-engraved bricks for dugout-money goes to program.

Opening Day: 1 coordinator - multiple volunteers to decorate field and donate burritos and gift cards for student giveaways.

Senior Day: 1 coordinator - collect (announce) senior parent tributes to sons, purchase parent gifts.

End of Season Banquet: 1 coordinator; all senior parents expected to help along with 1-2 junior parents- determine location, cost, gifts, food, decorations.

Media Guide: 2 coordinators; ad sales and assembly/layout-unlimited need; funds raised go to program.

Jags Baseball Board of Directors: President, vice president, secretary, treasurer.

Scrip Program: year round. money to player account; optional to individuals.
