Message from Dean of Students

September 2018 Newsletter:

September has been a great month at Foothills! We are truly becoming a family, where students are celebrating the success of each other. It’s been inspiring to be in the classrooms and hear students support each other with growth mindsets. I am proud to be a Falcon!

This month we focused on many different character strengths, including: grit, social intelligence, optimism and curiosity. Students are learning more about the importance of character strengths and why we need these character strengths to be successful, not only in school, but in the real world, too! Have conversations with your student about the character strengths we have focused on.

Our school “Shout-Outs” have been recognized by the district and we are making a great impression here at Foothills! It is amazing to hear the shout-outs that students give to each other. I am inspired by the shout-outs not only in the morning meetings, but in the hallways and classrooms. Students are recognizing each other for demonstrating the character strengths and it is building a strong community here at Foothills.

It is an honor to be a Foothills Falcon, I am inspired by our students daily and it makes Foothills feel like home. Thank you for being a part of this journey of learning and discovering, thank you for helping your student be successful and thank you for being a part of our Foothills Family. I appreciate YOU!
