Weekly Schedule: All games will be played at 3:45 PM in room N134.

Titles in bold will have an in-person tournament at the end of the semester. Teams must qualify for these tournaments by reaching certain rounds of the state tournament, where the final few rounds will be play in-person.

Participation in ESports will add a $45 student fee. This fee pays for ESports equipment, senior gifts, tournament participation, and school video game subscriptions so everyone compete from the building. Fall CHSAA Tournament Spotlight

Splatoon 3

Our Esports team competes in Best-of-5 matches featuring 4v4 team play with a roster of up to eight students. Matches follow standard competitive league settings across five distinct game modes—Turf War, Rainmaker, Splat Zones, Tower Control, and Clam Blitz—requiring flexible equipment loadouts and strategic map execution through the PlayVS custom lobby. We play against schools across the state for a chance to compete in the state in-person tournament.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Our Esports team competes in Best-of-5 matches featuring 3v3 standard Soccar play with a roster of up to six students. Matches follow standard competitive settings—5-minute timed games on standard arenas like DFH Stadium—requiring strong rotational play, aerial control, and clear tactical communication through the PlayVS lobby. We play against schools across the state for a chance to compete in the state in-person tournament.

New Title: Marvel Rivals!

Our Esports team competes in Best-of-5 matches featuring 6v6 team-based play with a roster of at least six (and up to twelve) students. Matches follow standard competitive league settings across objective-based modes—Domination, Convoy, and Convergence—requiring strategic team-ups, role composition (Vanguards, Duelists, and Strategists), and a tactical ban/pick phase through the PlayVS custom lobby. We play against schools across the state for a chance to compete in the state in-person tournament.

Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros Ultimate will have a State Tournament in Spring of 2027, but may still compete regionally during the Fall semester to get competitive practice and prepare for next semester!

More information will be shared about this tournament through the Fall 2026 semester. Governor Jared Polis has made regular appearances at this event and has stopped to take photos with our school, and others, in the past. Many vendors come to this event to advertise and network, looking for prospective employees.

This has been an amazing event for students to attend in the past, and I hope to support all teams wishing to compete and get there this year!

Registration:

August 31st - September 18th

Players and their families must sign up for ESports on [ARBITER SPORTS]. If all forms are not signed by September 18th, that student will not be able to participate in ESports this semester.

Playoffs:

Playoffs for all titles will take place the weeks of 11/16/2026 and 11/30/2026 (with a break week for Thanksgiving during 11/23/2026). During playoffs, teams will compete on days they do not typically play. It is possible teams will compete 2-3 times a week to narrow down the number of schools eligible to play at the in-person tournament. Please contact your coach and stay up to date in PlayVS to see when you are scheduled to play.
