Click the Trophy Icon in the top-right.
Open PlayVS Match Lobby page and follow the Match Assistant process.
In Match Assistant, when you reach the Tournament Code step, click Game 1 Code to copy the code.
When you reach the 2nd game, it will update to Game 2 Code. For game 3, it will update to Game 3 Code, and so on.
Past the Tournament Code in the in-game pop-up.
If the Tournament Code is not copied over or is missing entirely, contact PlayVS Support and follow the Custom Lobby Process below.
Determine sides using the Side Selection & Draft Protocol below.
Players should join from top to bottom in order of their respective role.

Join the lobby. Within the 30-minute grace period, select Ready Up.
Communicate via Match Lobby Chat.
Confirm your Starting roster.
Confirm your Opponent’s starting roster.
Use the drop-down to select your Starting player for Game 1.
Click Choose Your Character.
Use the drop-down to select your Fighter, then click Confirm.
If using a Mii Fighter, the player must follow Rulebook Section 1.6.2 Mii Fighters.
View the Fighter matchup, then click Continue.

Once you reach the Match Preview page, Create or Join the Arena using the steps below.
In the bottom-right of the Arena, select your fighter.
The home team will choose the selected stage.
Once ready, both players join the ring.
Click + to begin the countdown.
Play Game 1.
If a player disconnection occurs, refer to Rulebook Section 1.4.2 Player Disconnection.
Once Game 1 is complete, return to the PlayVS match lobby to report the results and continue the set as stated in Rulebook Section 3.2.1.
Once the set is complete, teams will select their starting player for the next set.
Repeat the previous steps until the first three sets are completed.
If needed, rosters will reset and any player will be eligible to compete in Set 4.
If needed, teams can select either of the remaining two players to compete in Set 5.

Each team will compete as either home or away [referred to as side(s)] for each game. Side selection for each game is as follows:
Game 1: Home team on Match Lobby selects side.
Game 2: Away team on Match Lobby selects side.
Game 3: Loser of game 2 selects side.

Teams competing via splitscreen will not be able to receive automatic invites and must use the Custom Lobby Process to play out the match. Teams needing to use custom lobbies to compete must share a message in the Match Lobby Chat to inform their opponents of the change in order to proceed.
Players will receive automatic invites for matches via their Epic Games Connection.

If automatic invites are unavailable, use the Custom Lobby Process steps below.
Spectators are approved using the Match Assistant in Section 7.7 Match Spectating of the league’s Competition Rulebook.
If there are any issues, finish the current game, then exit the lobby and notify PlayVS Support.
Custom Match Process:
Click Play > Custom Games > Create Private Match and confirm the following game settings:
Game Mode: Soccar
Arena: DFH Stadium
Team Size: 3v3
Bot Difficulty: No Bots
Region: Recommended
Joinable By: Name/Password
Team Settings: (No Change)
Mutator Settings: (No Change)
Choose a unique password.
Click Create Match.
Share the Lobby Name & Password in PlayVS Match Lobby Chat.
Once all players have joined the lobby, join a side.

The home team will start Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
From the Main Menu, select Online Play
Select Friends
Select Create Room, and confirm Yes
Choose Character and Kart configuration
Once in the room, press A to access the game settings, and confirm the settings are reflected as shown in section 1.5.
Match Flow:
Open Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Select Online Play from the Main Menu.
Choose 1p if each player has their own console.
Choose 2p if two players will be competing from one console.
Select Friends.
Select Create Room, then Yes.
Choose the Racer & Kart frame/glider/wheels, then click the A button to confirm.
Further customization can be done by pressing Y from the lobby in-between races.
Share the Room Code and Password in the PlayVS Match Lobby Chat.
Once all players have joined, proceed to Match Protocol.
Once all players are ready, click OK to begin.
All players will select Random from the Track List.
If a player does not select Random, and that track is chosen for the race, then 15 points will be deducted from their team’s final round score. See Rulebook Section 1.6.1 Track Selection for further information.
Once the race is complete, players will return to the lobby and select Random once more.
Repeat steps until all four (4) races (or 6 for Playoff matches) are recorded.
In the event of a tie, refer to Rulebook Section 1.6.2 Tie-Breaker Resolution
If the host disconnects, refer to Rulebook Section 1.4.2 Host Game Disconnect
If a participant disconnects, refer to Rulebook Section 1.4.3 Participant Game Disconnect
If a rule violation occurs, finish the set of races, do not submit results for the game, and notify PlayVS Support.
