Grading & Standards

The assignments and grading in Applied Imagination are based on the Jeffco Technology Standards and Generation Skills. The Standards and Generation Skills are listed at the bottom of this page.

Pitch

Explain your idea including what you are planning to learn and create, why you are planning to create your product, what your process will be, who your product will impact and how, and what success will look like to you when you are done.

Research

Research your topic completely using multiple sources. Your blog will have a resources page on it for you to keep a list of your resources. Include websites, interviews, and other sources you use as you create your project.

Blog

Once blogs are set up, you will post weekly entries. The first post will be an overview or your project with a link to your pitch. After that, you will post a weekly update on the blog each Friday. The post must include weekly successes, challenges, and next steps. Pictures and videos of your process would be great to include as well.

Peer Feedback

Provide growth based feedback on projects and blogs to help peers create their best project, product, and presentation. A structured format will be provided for you to use.

Final Presentation

Showcase your amazing project in a 5-10 minute practiced and professional presentation. Share your process, product, impact, and challenges you experienced.

Reflection

Reflect on your process sharing your successes and challenges, what you learned about yourself through the process, and how you can apply your learning in life.
