The Great Pet Quest
JCL created a board game-style challenge that can be played in real time! Pick up a board game from your JCL location. With each board game board, you can select your own game piece from a group of animal pieces. Use the magnetic game piece to move along the board game as you complete the journey squares.
Once you complete the board game journey and your animal game piece reaches the finish line, complete the back side of the board game with your contact information. Completed board game cards that are turned in by November 30, 2025 will be entered into the Jefferson County Library Great Pet Quest prize drawing!
1 winner will be chosen and contacted in early December 2025 to fetch their grand prize!
What is the prize?
A lucky winner will win a $200 Pet Bundle of their choosing.
So whether you need a new terrarium, some pet treats, or a cat tree-- we've got you covered.

Pet Photo Contest
Each Monday in November, compete with other patrons for the funniest pet in the JCL Pet Photo Contest. Use the weekly prompts to post your funniest pet photo in the comments of the prompt post on Jefferson County Library's Facebook profile.
Each week, the funniest photo winner will be chosen to win a $20 gift card of their choosing.

Lending a Helping Hand
JCL is partnering with local animal services to collect donation items in November.
These items must be dropped off to the library location during the month of November.
No items will be accepted after November 30, 2025.
JCL- Cedar Hill is accepting gently used toys, beds, blankets, cleaning supplies, and much more. These items will benefit the Franklin County Humane Society. This organization is a non-profit shelter, dedicated to serving the homeless, abandoned, and lost dogs and acts in the area
JCL-Windsor is accepting cat, dog, and cleaning/office supplies to benefit Open Door Animal Sanctuary. Open Door is a no-kill shelter dedicated to providing homeless cats and dogs with care and a chance for adoption. To see the full wish list, stop by the branch to pick one up!
