Della Lang Local History & Genealogy Room

Researchers of all experience levels are welcome to explore materials related to local families, businesses, schools, churches, organizations, and community events. Whether you are tracing your family tree, researching a historic property, or learning more about regional history, the Local History & Genealogy Room offers valuable resources and personalized assistance to support your search.

We are located at the Northwest Branch of Jefferson County Library, 5680 State Road PP, High Ridge, MO 63049.

Research Requests

Branch staff can perform a search of up to five names in any indexed genealogy materials held by the Northwest Branch for a $10 non-refundable fee.

This fee, which must be paid at the time of the request, includes the cost of copies and postage.

Donations

We welcome donations to the genealogy department. We accept donations of publications, family histories, photos and other items of genealogical merit. Contributions are a tangible and meaningful way to support the department, ensuring its tradition of excellence for the benefit of the community. Restrictions on size and shape do apply.

The Northwest Branch is an Affiliate Library with FamilySearch.org!
Affiliate libraries have access to FamilySearch’s digital genealogical collections that are otherwise accessible only through a FamilySearch family history center. FamilySearch also provides its affiliates with the latest tools and tips for genealogy reference librarians.
