Providing for the needs of all diverse learners through
JCIB
Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School now has two campuses. Both house students who desire a different and more rigorous academic setting. The JCIB program is one that requires students to apply with multiple elements in consideration for acceptance. Students take some standard-level courses, along with many honors, advanced placement, and IB curriculum-specific courses as well in an effort to earn an IB diploma.
Burkett Center
While there are certainly services provided for students with special needs at each of our 56 other campuses, The Burkett Center offers special resources and a special environment.

Signature Academies
Signature Academies engage all students to participate in specific training and coursework related to a wide range of interests.
It was built upon CTE (Career Tech Education) and has grown to become an amazing reality.
Academies such as: JROTC, Theater, Culinary Arts, Automotive and so many more, are spread across the district schools. Transportation to and from the area schools is handled during the day to allow participating students to attend.
Capital Projects
JEFCOED has been very active in their capital projects. New and advanced school sights are being built. Slightly older campus sights are being upgraded and brought up to meet the higher standards we expect.
Technology resources are advanced with all of the Signature Academies and their unique resource in the upper- grade level campuses, the elementary campuses also are equipped with one-to-one devices, ViewSonic boards, robotics and STEM resources and more!
