Students need to have the following materials with them each day:
Classroom Code: “If you expect respect, be the first to show it.”
Expected student behavior includes:
Class time will be spent on individualized and/or group work according to each student’s goals on the IEP. This work is generated from materials/work in your courses OR from individual work in your folder or work station. All work is designed to help you improve skills in specific areas (i.e.: developing academic independence, improving personal study habits, improving content area vocabulary, improving math skills, and developing personal learning strategies so that you can improve your grades and reach career goals).
Your IEP contains goals. We will be tracking your progress towards these goals on checklists. I will meet with you on an individual basis in regards to your goals.
To begin to prepare you for college/career readiness, we want you to be responsible for notifying us about core assignments and assistance will be available according to each student’s IEP. We also want you to notify us as soon as possible about any exams you have so that we can plan to provide you with testing accommodations you may have.
Have a wonderful and successful year!
