Have you ever played a sport? If you have what Sport?

I personally love baseball. It is a mostly slow paced sport but you have to have really fast thinking so you can make the best play.

I think baseball is the best sport and you should play it because you can play everywhere on the field and you can have a little more freedom over what you like best, not what you're good at because it’s the same things everywhere but Pitcher and Catcher.

Personally I love the infield because you get both kinds of plays fly balls and grounders because in the outfield you get a lot more fly balls than the grounders. My favorite in field position is third because all the right handed kids hit the ball toward you and there are a lot more right handed kids than left handed kids.

So if you are trying to find a new sport or finding your first sport I recommend baseball because it is a very easy sport to learn unlike soccer where you have to learn how to do weird dribbling stuff and if you do pick baseball I think you should start with an outfield position and move to the infield.

Buying a stylus

You and I both are probably tired of cleaning our iPads because of fingerprints, honestly fingerprints are not that fun because it makes your iPad dirty and sometimes your iPad gets blurry because of them.

What is a stylus?

A stylus is a little pen that has a piece of rubber on the end, that you can use instead of your fingers!

Do you NEED to buy a stylus?

Nope! It’s not required but it would be a big help for you to have a stylus!

How do you clean it?

Basic hand soap or dish soap should do the trick! Also you should clean your stylus at least once a few weeks too, especially since you use it on your iPad.

Does it break easily?

Not exactly, you just can’t be that hard with the tip or it will fall off. Also unless you try hard you can’t break the body of the stylus that easily.

Where can you buy one?

You can buy a stylus in the office for only $1! Super cheap if you ask me!

School lunch

So in my opinion school lunches should be bigger and better. By bigger I mean more in the lunches. Also by better I mean not frozen things from Walmart. I think we should have pizza from Dominos every Wednesday or Friday. Or something else like chick-fa-la or another restaurant that most people would like. Also during the day students will not be hungry. They could also be healthier for students. It would help kids not be hungry if there is more food. It would also help with more time to eat. Because if we don’t have enough time to eat then students are wasting food. Also if students waste food then it is wasting time that you spent making or doing the lunches.

Pugs or Beagles?

Pugs

What’s a pug? A pug is of course a type of dog, most of you have already heard of. I asked some kids in my media literacy class whether they liked pugs or not and most said yes, some responses were I like their smushed face, They are just cute, I love how chunky they are, their kinda cool but their more cool if they have sunglasses on, and one student even said I like their rolls! The kids that said they didn’t like pugs said they are ugly, they have too much skin, and one kid had a bad experience with pugs. In my opinion I love pugs, I agree with most of the responses that say they love how big they are, and of course the one about the sunglasses. Everyone is cooler with sunglasses on!

Beagles

What are beagles? Beagles are a very popular dog, they are a type of hound dog and a hunting dog. I asked some more kids from my media literacy class if they likes beagles or not and why, here are some of their responses: Beagles are better because pug’s faces are too smashed, because they are cuter and longer than pugs, yeah, I like beagles and I like their long ears, I like light brown, energetic dogs, and someone said “I think they’re cute and chubby.” And the people who don’t like beagles said I just don’t like beagles, they're ugly, they bark too much and they kill too many birds. Personally I think that beagles are cute, I love their big ears. But I think I’m more on team pug than team beagle!

My Opinion

Personally I think pugs are better. Why? Because, although their smushed faces can cause breathing problems I still think they’re cute. I also love their big round eyes! I have a pet puggle which is a mix of pug and beagle, so I get the benefits of both of these dogs, but if I had to choose one I would choose pug. I also love pugs for how they act, some people say special, I say silly. Pugs will accationaly roll around on a rug or carpet with their eyes as big as marbles, and I find it adorable! They also have those cute curly little tails, their little folded ears, and those stubby little legs! They are usually sleeping but they love to snuggle too, and I need to have a dog in my bed when I sleep. I also love sitting on the couch, or watching tv, so I don't mind them being lazy. Beagles are energetic and bark so I guess I'd say I would choose a pug, I love how they look, and act.

Longer Recess

I think we should get longer recess after lunch at Summit, because we only get 10 minutes. At my old school we got way more time. We got 30 mins to an hour to play outside. And we could do anything we wanted. We just had to run around the track 1 time then there was a playground,b asketball courts, a field to play football, and swings.

I think we should have a playground as well, but I do like how we go outside right after lunch. At my old school we did lunch and then like 45 mins later we went outside and it was all of the same grade.

I did not live in Iowa so it wasn’t a school in Iowa. I didn’t move to Iowa until January of this year. I used to live in Florida but that is why I think we should have longer recess at Summit.

Some reasons for this it increases kids physical activity. It improves kids attention and concentration to help them stay focused on the subject in the classroom. It reduces disruptive behavior and t helps their social skills so they can meet more kids

Now that is why I think we should have longer recess.
