BBops is bussin that’s period

by Chloe B.

Reasons why.

Their fries have the perfect amount of salt. Their food is good (not healthy) but very delicious. I think they are the best fast food restaurant way better then (McDonald’s) but that’s off topic. BBops is an ok price but they at least have an outside eating area and two drive thru’s, a passenger seat drive thru and a driver side drive thrus which is good in case the driver can’t hold the food and don’t feel like going up to the window. They also have food, good food like Fries, Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Chicken Nuggets, Chicken Strips, and more. BBops is the best and I think you should eat it tonight for sure.

Mason Gear’s Opinion, “BBops is good.”

Paige andernacht’s Opinion, “It’s good and yeah it’s a good idea because they’re usually drive thru’s.”

I interviewed Mr.Ibeling on his opinion on school lunches. Below are the questions and his answers.

“What are your opinions on school lunches?”

“My opinion on school lunches is they should be healthy and still taste good.”

“ What is 1 thing you would change about school lunches?”

“Is there a walking taco? Everybody loves walking taco!”

“Do you think ala cart is a good option?”

“If a la carte means you get to make choices, I like choices!”

“Do you think it’s a good idea making kids get fruits or vegetables?”

“When I make my own lunch, I think of main entrée, fruit, and a veggie. So, it makes sense that students have to make a healthy choice, I guess.”

Olive Garden is a very popular restaurant, so if it’s popular that means they have good food! In Olive Garden they have various foods to choose from! I think olive garden’s breadsticks are warm and yummy, with loads of flavor as well as the soups!

Restaurant Review

I chose Texas Roadhouse because I love their buns and cheeseburgers. My opinion is that they have good service and their waiters are nice. The reason why their buns are good is because of the butter.

- Teacher Spotlight -

By: Neyla

I interviewed Mrs.Peterson for the teacher Spotlight! I asked her some basic questions so keep reading to find out her answers!

Q: How is it teaching 6th graders?

A: I love teaching 6th grade. It's so fun to see students learn how to navigate middle school and grow as individuals. It's challenging but still a great part of my day!

Q: Why did you choose to teach social studies and literacy?

A: I always wanted to teach reading and writing because it was my passion in school and something that I excelled at since I was a young child. Social studies was one of those subjects that I liked but wasn't always very good at when I was younger. As I learned new ways of reading nonfiction and saw all the cool things happening in other social studies classrooms, I decided to go back to school to get my social studies endorsement. I really like showing students how to read, write, and talk about the world around us.

Q: If you could choose to teach another grade, what would it be?

A: I've taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grades before... I've been curious what it might be like in a 5th grade or 4th grade classroom, but I don't think those students want me teaching them math!! One grade that I know I will NEVER teach is kindergarten - those little kids would be way too wild for me.

Q: What was your favorite subject as a kid?

A: My favorite subject was language arts in middle school and then a government class in high school. I had amazing teachers who helped me like school and figure out my own strengths.

Q: How is the year going so far with the new 6th graders?

A: This is another great year in 6th grade! I love my new group of students and am learning so much as I work with them.

I hope that you learned some new stuff about Mrs. Petersen!
