Welcome to the Jarrell Band! Our award winning program consists of over 300 students from 6th grade through 12th grade. The program prides itself in high-quality music education for all students through its Beginner Band, Concert Bands, and Marching Band.

JHS BAND AND COLOR GUARD: Announcment


"Everything Day" on 7/20.

This is an important day where day we size and assign everyone uniforms, lockers, etc, and turn in any missing fees or forms.

  • We WILL be taking pictures on 7/20!

  • Everyone will need their picture taken because this will be the photo for the yearbook.

  • Photos will be available for purchase through Shutter Magic. You will be able to digitally view photos before deciding to purchase. More info to come regarding that.


Everything Day schedule:

3pm-4pm Seniors and Juniors report (Bring your marching shoes so you know you have them and they fit.)

4pm-5pm Sophomores report (Bring your marching shoes so you know you have them and they fit.)

5pm-6pm Freshmen report (Bring socks so you can size for shoes.)

People can report early but we would prefer them to not show up late. This way there is not a large crowd at the end.


Answers to recently asked questions:

  • All events and rehearsals take place at the Jarrell High School Band Hall.

  • Please check the calendar for August dates and etc. (Dates were posted before the end of the school year and reminders to keep checking it were sent.) Info regarding dates will continue to be updated as events are finalized as progressing into the school year...so keep an eye on it.

  • Some adjustments may be made to some August rehearsals once I have a complete volleyball schedule.

  • Reminder that August rehearsals are very important! This is when UIL allows us to begin setting drill and primary marching spots will be assigned. There is no way to "make-up" a drill rehearsal individually since it requires all marchers to make the forms!

  • October Contest dates are still not finalized due to how far out the dates still are.

Reminder regarding Rehearsals 8:00am-4:00pm Monday 7/28-Friday 7/30 next week.

Students need to have their own water jug!

We have ordered water jugs for the freshman, but not all have arrived yet. We will pass them out as we recieve them.

Students will need to provide their own bagged lunch. Students will NOT be allowed to leave campus.

Students will need to wear tennis shoes, NO SANDALS. Students need to have comfortable clothing on.

8:00am-9:30am We will be outside learning marching fundamentals.

9:30am-Noon Music sectionals indoors.

Noon-1:00pm Lunch Break

1:00-4:00pm Sectionals and full band rehearsals indoor.

Multiple breaks will be given throughout the day.
