Hello there! My name is Sherry Bartlett. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and have since earned a certification in Elementary Education.
While student teaching at Jefferson Academy, I realized that this school was a special place and I wanted to be a part of it. I was a literacy teacher for two years when a kindergarten position opened up. I have now been enjoying my dream job of teaching kindergarten for ten years.
As much as I enjoy teaching my students, I also enjoy what they teach me. Every day is a new adventure!
I’m a professional archaeologist with a BA from Metropolitan State University and a master’s degree in osteoarchaeology from Aberdeen University in Scotland, but I decided to switch careers to being a teacher since I love being with kids and am a big kid myself. I am a big nerd, especially with Star Trek. I love to read, play video games, hike, and hang out with my cat. I look forward to being in kindergarten and teaching kids about the joys of reading and nature perhaps playing in the dirt as archeologists.
