About The Lab

The cultural and individual differences (CID) lab is a team of graduate psychology students led by Dr. Ryon McDermott in exploring a variety of psychological, cultural, and interpersonal factors related to mental health. The lab is both research and clinically orientated, with members of lab working independently on a variety of research projects, while simultaneously working clinically at the University of South Alabama psychological clinic (a community out-patient clinic) and the University of South Alabama Counseling & Testing Services (a college counseling center).

Members independently investigate a variety of variables within their respective areas of interest, often times collaboratively. Additionally, the team is engaged in major projects under the direction of Dr. McDermott.
