Class Dojo is a free resource for teachers. After setting up your classes and inviting parents, you can use either the iPad/iPhone app or the website during the school day. Students earn points for positive behaviors, contributing in class, making good decisions, etc. Parents see daily points and how they were earned. Students can share snapshots of what they are doing in class. Perfect for the elementary classroom.
GoGuardian is a program that has been purchased for us and has proved very successful in the Chromebook classrooms. Teachers have screen views of everything the students are doing and what tabs they have open in the background and may close any tab that you do not want open. The chat feature enables the students and teachers to communicate during the class session. If classes are set to a schedule, a timeline will be recorded so the teacher can go back and see what students were working on a later date (perfect for substitute days.)
