The following activities are interactive documents that are modeled after ASOT activities from our HRS training. You can copy and post them in your Classroom for individual use or collaborative activities.
Alphabet Activity
The Alphabet activity works best in groups.
(1) A member of the group places one word at a time on any letter and passes it to the next person.
(2) A member of the group must place a word in the "next letter" as it moves around the table.
(3) The whole class works cooperatively to fill all boxes with as many words as possible.
In the Lotus Diagram, you place a general topic in the center tile.
Next, you place a series (8) of subtopics around the center tile and in the coordinating shaded tiles.
Then, you place descriptions, adjectives, characteristics, or traits in the 8 boxes around the shaded tiles.

Problem Solving Models
This document was created based upon the Frayer Model. Adding non-examples instead of just examples provides additional clarity to unfamiliar words.
