Josh Frydman

Josh Frydman is a sports anchor and reporter for WGN-TV in Chicago, where he has worked for the last decade. Josh co-anchors the station’s nightly sports show “GN Sports” and reports on all of the city’s pro and college sports teams. He has covered the World Series, NBA and Stanley Cup Playoffs, MLB and NBA All-Star games, and his reporting has been nominated for an Emmy and been honored by the Illinois Broadcasters Association. Josh grew up in Buffalo Grove in Chicago’s northwest suburbs attending Stevenson High School. He graduated from the University of Missouri’s renowned School of Journalism Magna Cum Laude and worked at TV stations in Memphis, TN and Cape Girardeau, Mo. before returning home to WGN in 2014. When he is not working, Josh loves to play pickleball, cook, travel and spend time as a new dad to his son Myles.
