Flying Events Updates

2023 Competition: Trajectory and Storm the Castle will also be held in this space

We do not have a gym, so our space for the flying events is unusual. Information about the space is below.

Flying devices will be launched at the center post. The inaccessible area (see below) is to the right of the post that is in the far right of this picture.

Please see the blueprint below for more information about dimensions. The flight-space (around the center pole) is approximately 50 ft 2 in wide by 54 feet long by 25 feet high. Ceiling height is approximately 25 feet high. As you can see in the picture, there is exposed ductwork on the ceiling.

For all teams: There is an area of the event space that will not be accessible during the competition. Should your device go into this space, we will not be able to retrieve it during the competition. Therefore, it is recommended that you bring extra devices just in case. In addition, identifying information should be clearly marked on your device. During the week following the competition, we will retrieve any devices that went into that area and will contact your coach to arrange for the return of those devices.
