St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2018

On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2018, City Hall power players stripped Fitzgerald’s name from Waterfront Plan and replaced it with a name that honored and recalled a tyrannical King (who, ironically, collected glass).

These power players, working with special interests and developers, have brought the city unbridled development, business /real estate taxes and a plan to destroy history.

Alexandria City Council favors its own political agenda and financial development interests instead of the truth, impugning the character of George Washington and his Aid de Camp, Col. John Fitzgerald.

A recent round table of past councilmen and mayors all agreed that the current council is poorly run and they yearn for a change back to where ideas and are debated in a transparent manner.
