Match Common App with Naviance

In order to request letters of recommendation, you will first need to  match your Common App Account with Naviance

Teacher Letter of Recommendation Process

Start date to request a teacher recommendation: First day of school (August 24)

2. Complete the letter of recommendation Google Form (see below to create a copy) or other method that the teacher requests

Are you planning on asking for a recommendation from a teacher not currently teaching at Portola?

If you plan on asking a teacher not currently teaching at Portola (retired, transferred to another school, teacher from another school, etc.), then please give their email addresses to your school counselor to be added onto Naviance. Once the teacher is added, you can request a letter of rec from them via Naviance.

Counselor Letter of Recommendation Process

Window to request a counselor letter of recommendation: September 2 - 30

2.  Update your resume with your activities, awards, and accomplishments on Naviance

3. Complete your "PHS Letter of Recommendation Survey" on Naviance 

4. Make your letter of rec request with Counseling Clerk Ms. Phoebe in the Counseling Office
