The Student Government Association (SGA) has two main types of positions: elected and appointed. Understanding the difference between these roles is important for all students.
Elected Positions: Elected positions are filled through a voting process. Students can run for these positions, and their peers can vote to choose who will serve. This process gives students a say in who represents them and makes decisions on their behalf.
Appointed Positions: Appointed positions are filled by students submitting applications, and elected members make assignments based on the application details. This method allows SGA members to select individuals with specific skills or experience that can benefit the organization.
