We are pleased to announce that the Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 in conjunction with the FrAY STEM Ecosystem is continuing the FrAY (Franklin, Adams, and York) Chief Science Officers Program for the 2024-2025 school year. CSOs are students elected by their peers in 6th to 12th grade to be liaisons for STEM and innovation in their schools and community. Each school districts may elect up to four CSOs to participate in the program.
To join the program:
A school leader must complete the Site Intent Form to indicate your district’s interest in participating in the program (be prepared to identify and provide contact information for a teacher advisor on this form)
Once the site intent form is complete, work with a teacher advisor to select or elect your 4 student Chief Science Officers (limit 4 per district)
Next, have each Chief Science Officer and their legal parent/guardian register using the CSO International OFFICIAL Registration Form prior to the student's participation in the program, and annually thereafter.
Learn more about the CSO Program by reading the Interest Letter, FAQ, and flyer

The FrAY Partner list functions as a database of community organizations, businesses, and schools that are supportive of career readiness and STEM education in York, Adams, and Franklin County. Individuals or groups looking for career opportunities for students, partners on career readiness projects, or other similar ventures can use this page to find a reliable contact for a community organization, business, or school that is willing to support their project or offer their expertise or advice.
In order to form strategic partnerships and share in-kind supports throughout the Ecosystem, the Needs and Assets Database collects information on the key areas of need and shareable assets of each partner. This document helps partners to find other organizations to collaborate and connect with for the purpose of forming strong partnerships that result in STEM and career readiness programming for schools and the community.
