Short Description:

Harrisburg University of Science & Technology has been a pillar for STEM Education in the Central PA Region for almost two decades. The Enrichment Programs, that are run each summer help students identify pathways into STEM learning and careers. Enrichment can also happen through our certification programs and internship opportunities with our partners at NuPaths and Penn Foster. Students can be fully funded to take courses and intern to earn certifications in multiple areas, including IT Technician, Medical Assistant, Sterile Processing Technician, and more. First students complete courses, then complete externships, they are then certified to come into the workforce for high needs medical and technical careers.

We also have a robust College in the High School model, that allows administration and teachers to either run a course equivalency for already developed courses in their high school, or a course adoption which allows teachers to use HU Faculty developed courses in STEM related content. The students benefit by earning college credit at a fraction of the price of a regular dual enrollment agreements, and are engaging with a well established program.

Harrisburg University of Science & Technology is a dedicated to STEM education and exploration of STEM related experiences. Our programs align with STEM topics and the certification programs we run are also STEM based career paths. Students who complete an enrichment activity or certificate program are more likely to attend college for a STEM degree and/or go into a STEM related workforce area.
