Health Policy Analysis Project
In my Health Systems Management course, I completed a detailed policy analysis on the impact of Medicaid expansion in underserved communities. This project required extensive research, data interpretation, and the ability to present findings in a clear and actionable format. I developed skills in policy evaluation and learned how healthcare policies directly affect community health outcomes. This project was meaningful because it deepened my understanding of how administrative decisions can drive equity in healthcare access, a passion I hope to pursue professionally.
Capital Social Builder Project
As part of a social engagement assignment, I participated in a Capital Social Builder project that emphasized connecting with diverse individuals and sharing their stories. Through this experience, I learned the importance of effective communication and active listening, which allowed me to better understand different perspectives and foster meaningful connections. These skills have been essential in building relationships, both personally and professionally, and will help me continue to work collaboratively with teams and communities in my career.
Strategic Fundraising at Jameson Camp
During my internship at Jameson Camp, I played a key role in planning and executing several fundraising events, including a current third-party fundraiser initiative. This experience taught me how to manage multiple projects, engage with stakeholders, and align strategic goals with fundraising objectives. It was especially rewarding to see the direct impact of our efforts on the camp’s ability to serve youth. This hands-on experience strengthened my organizational and leadership skills, which I look forward to applying in future nonprofit and administrative roles.
