Engaged Learning Skills & Reflection

Developed leadership skills through my work with Medals4Mettle, where I supported chapter operations and collaborated with volunteers across the country. By helping strengthen organizational systems and supporting volunteer engagement, I learned how effective leadership can help mission-driven organizations expand their impact.

Strengthened professional communication and public speaking skills by presenting “Making a Difference in Corporate America: Ethical Hustle” at the IMPACT National Conference. In this session, I translated complex corporate social responsibility concepts into an interactive presentation that encouraged students to think critically about ethical business practices and career decision-making.

Built project management and coordination skills through leadership and volunteer involvement with the IU Indianapolis Regatta, where large-scale campus events require careful planning, organization, and collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Expanded my ability to work across cultures while studying corporate social responsibility in Buenos Aires. Through visits with businesses, marketing agencies, and nonprofit organizations, I learned how social responsibility initiatives are shaped by local economic, cultural, and social contexts.

As a Supply Chain Management student, I developed strong analytical and systems-thinking skills by evaluating how organizations structure processes and resources to achieve their goals. I applied this mindset in nonprofit and academic settings to identify ways organizations can operate more efficiently while increasing their positive social impact.

Through coursework, service experiences, and my presentation on corporate social responsibility, I strengthened my ability to evaluate ethical considerations in business decisions. I learned how organizations can balance profitability with social responsibility and how individuals can advocate for ethical practices within their careers.
