Engaged Learning Experiences

At the IMPACT National Conference in 2025, I presented a session titled “Making a Difference in Corporate America: Ethical Hustle.” In this presentation, I explored how corporate social responsibility (CSR) can align business success with positive social impact. I introduced key CSR frameworks, including Carroll’s Pyramid of Corporate Social Responsibility, and discussed how companies balance economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic responsibilities. I also shared examples of CSR practices from major organizations and discussed how responsible business practices can influence brand reputation, employee engagement, and consumer behavior. 

The presentation also focused on helping participants develop their own personal CSR pillars and evaluate companies based on their social responsibility practices. Through an interactive activity simulating job interviews, attendees practiced asking employers about CSR initiatives and considering how organizational values align with their own. I concluded by encouraging students and young professionals to integrate CSR into their career decisions by researching company practices, engaging in workplace initiatives, and advocating for responsible business practices in their future roles.
