As a French and Spanish major with a minor in Sustainable Management and Policy, I combine multilingualism with environmental and social justice to create an accessible world for us all, regardless of linguistic background or socioeconomic status. I seek to foster a welcoming and diverse environment in my school, work and personal domains through my involvements as the:
-president of the Francophone Student Association at IU Indianapolis;
-Social Media/PR board member of the Indiana Undocumented Youth Alliance;
-Student Ambassador for the National Student Exchange at IU Indianapolis; and
-Legal Interpreting Intern at the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.
I also studied abroad in Costa Rica to study ecotourism (and a little bit of Spanish) and in Québec, Canada to study French, taking my learning outside of the classroom and indulging in real-life applications of sustainability, social justice, French and Spanish. With these experiences under my belt, I am a well-rounded emerging expert in my fields of study.
