Learn about who I am and what drives me in my personal, professional and academic careers.
I am a curious, determined and passionate student who is always looking to learn new things, find the cross-sections between my passions, and uplift the people around me. My ultimate goal is to help others and pursue justice for all, which I hope to achieve through a career in law. I am interested in pursuing one of three fields of law: environmental, criminal, or immigration law. This interest was born from crossing my lifelong infatuation with politics, social justice, sustainability, writing/language, and service with engaging classes and real-world experiences in communities of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Outside of the classroom, I run a small crochet business creating custom pieces for friends and family which began as a quest to make my own clothing to embody the sustainable mindset of my host community during my exchange to l'Université de Sherbrooke in Spring 2024. I also enjoy ice skating, baking, playing guitar and piano (and sometimes cello), writing, learning new languages (Brazilian Portuguese and Arabic are next on my list!), and spending time with my friends, family and partner.
Bold, intelligent, kind, gritty. Explore my ePortfolio to discover what drives me.

At IU Indianapolis, my goal is to grow and preserve the World Language program. As one of two grandfathered French BA students after the major was done away with my sophomore year, I know how it feels to come to IU Indy for a world-class education and watch those dreams start to slip away. Alongside the other passionate and talented future leaders of our world who make up the World Language student body at IU Indy, I am working hard to preserve and sustain the World Language program for many years to come. As a global-minded university, we must fight for our world languages and know that they have a key role in our communities, both at home and abroad. This uphill battle for world languages at IU Indianapolis will take shape throughout my ePortfolio, and I urge you to fight alongside me to protect our program!
How can you fight for World Languages at IU Indy? Spread the word that we exist and encourage students to take World Language courses! Promote World Language-related clubs and attend their events! Sign up for a World Language class! Follow your World Language Department and clubs on social media (such as @iui_fsa on Instagram)! Tell your department that world languages are key for your success in your field! Share statistics on hireability of candidates who speak more than one language! The list goes on, but most importantly: let everyone at IU Indy know that we're here and doing AMAZING things! Did you know that IU Indy French students:
-Founded Model UN at IU Indy (Rianna VanHook, Spring 2025)
-Served as head interpreter in depositions during her internship at the Marion County Prosecutor's Office and represented legal interpreting at the IU Student Outreach Clinic (Lauren Burger, Spring 2025)
-Hit a hole in one during a tournament while on the IU Indy Women's Golf Team! (Nina Wojtczak, Fall 2024)
-Worked on an excavation in New Mexico (Cristina Bueno, Summer 2024)
-and so much more :)
It is an honor to be amongst such amazing students, which is exactly why I encourage everyone I meet to get involved with World Languages at IUI. Even if it's just taking one class or going to one meeting, you're joining a group of peers that is pushing boundaries and standing out as some as the most talented (and most humble) on campus. Not to mention, you can apply for scholarships in the World Language department and take your learning to the next level through study abroad, where your language skills will allow you to get to know locals and get the most out of your experience. I cannot overstate the marketability of these skills and experiences for all of your future endeavors, across any career path.
