About Me

Who I am now :

I am about to graduate from the Health Service Management program at IUPUI. I lived in Northern Indiana for most of my life, then I made the move to Indianapolis to further my education. Here, I have gained two part-time positions. Having these opportunities has allowed me to grow my community.

Why Health Service Management?

I started on the pre-medical track in the Health Sciences program. After one semester and the second year of chemistry, I realized that I did not want to keep going down that path. I knew that I wanted to stay in the medical field because it has been the only field that piqued my interest, so I met with my advisor who told me about Health Service Management. After one semester of classes, I knew that it was the right fit for me.

Who I hope to become:

As a future leader, I hope to use the skills I have learned from my previous and current managers and job experiences. I have two role models when I think of a good leader. My mother and lead x-ray technician. They both display servant leadership. Servant leadership reverses the traditional leadership pattern. This is something I hope to mimic when I become a future leader.
