Out of the developmental goals in our internship I already feel like I am good at taking ownership of my time and projects. I take pride in my work and want to be successful while not being afraid to ask questions. I want to be able to work on projects on my own without supervision, and it seems like this is a goal I will be accomplishing soon. I would like to also learn more about scientific communication to be able to further understand and discuss the lab work.

I work on my professional goals daily by continuing to grow in my skils and network. I seek out opportunities to build my resume and hone in on my learning abilities. I try to emphasize study, personal diversification, and real world experiences to make myself a competitive applicant as part of my next steps in my future plan.
The first ever publication that I am listed as a co-author on just went out for publication! This is great as I have checked off one of the goals on my list which also covers part of another goal: to develop scientific reading/writing skills. I feel like this internship and all the opportunities I have gotten through it have solidified my career/professional goals and have helped me in my path to achieve them! The last things I want to achieve in my internship as things are wrapping up would be to really nail down some connections and hopefully discuss my future planning again with my mentors. That so far, has been extremely helpful and insightful to me.
