INTRODUCTION
My name is Kaitie Phillips and I am in my fourth year of undergraduate study at Indiana University Indianapolis. The university drew me in, as it was one of few in my area with a forensic science degree program accredited by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission. I moved to Indianapolis to pursue this degree where I was met with the opportunity to broaden my skill set and pursue an additional degree in biology. In the Spring of 2023, I joined the IU Indianapolis Honors College in hopes of gaining new academically and professionally challenging experiences. Since then, I have engaged in projects, panels, and service learning events, both within and external to the Honors College. These moments have helped shape my overall experience in college and have equiped me for life after graduation.
