For my vaccination clinic marketing plan, I chose Instagram as a primary social media platform because it is highly popular among young adults, which aligns with the main demographic at IU Indianapolis. Instagram offers features such as reels, short videos, photos, and stories, making it an ideal tool to share educational content and promote vaccination services in an engaging way.
I plan to use Instagram to raise awareness and increase knowledge about vaccines by creating short, visually appealing reels that capture students’ attention. These reels will highlight the benefits of vaccination, showcase student experiences, and provide information on how and where to schedule appointments. Interactive features, such as Q&A stickers and polls, will allow students to ask questions and share content with friends, encouraging peer-to-peer engagement and amplifying the reach of the campaign.

For my vaccination clinic marketing plan, I selected Facebook as a secondary social media platform because it reaches a broader audience, including not only students but also parents, faculty, and staff at IU Indianapolis. Facebook provides versatile features such as event pages, post sharing, and reminders, making it an effective platform for promoting vaccination clinics and providing educational content to multiple groups.
I plan to use Facebook to create public events for vaccination clinics and share informational posts about vaccine safety, benefits, and availability. RSVP features and event reminders will help encourage participation and ensure students and other community members are aware of upcoming opportunities. Posts can also be shared widely, increasing reach and engagement beyond just the student population.
