This is the final group training presentation I created and delivered for my Z443 Developing Employee Skills course. My team and I designed a full conflict‑resolution training module that included an icebreaker, instructional content, interactive activities, and a knowledge check. The presentation followed the ADDIE model and incorporated multiple engagement strategies to teach employees how to navigate workplace conflict effectively.
Skills:
Training & Facilitation Skills — designing and delivering an interactive training session using ADDIE. Instructional Design: applying analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases.
Team Collaboration & Co‑Delivery — coordinating equal speaking roles and shared facilitation responsibilities.
Engagement Strategy Development — using games, movement‑based activities, and discussion prompts.
Professional Presentation Skills — clear communication, pacing, visual design, and audience interaction.
Conflict Resolution Knowledge — teaching SBI, conflict styles, and a structured 4‑step resolution model.
Creativity & Innovation — integrating a “Broken Telephone” icebreaker, Red Flag/Green Flag game, and Kahoot.
This project strengthened my expertise in training, facilitation, and instructional design, all of which are essential in HR development roles. Using the ADDIE model, we analyzed common workplace conflict issues, designed learning objectives, developed content on conflict types and management styles, and implemented interactive activities such as the Broken Telephone icebreaker and the Red Flag/Green Flag movement game. These activities helped participants recognize miscommunication, identify conflict behaviors, and practice healthy responses.
I also helped teach the SBI feedback model and the 4‑step conflict resolution process, which required translating theory into practical, easy‑to‑apply steps. Delivering the training improved my confidence in public speaking, pacing, and audience engagement. Working collaboratively ensured equal speaking time and strengthened my ability to co‑facilitate in a professional setting. This demonstrates my ability to design and deliver meaningful employee development experiences, an important competency for HR professionals focused on training, organizational development, and employee relations.
Completing this conflict‑resolution training project helped me grow as an emerging HR professional by strengthening my instructional design, facilitation, and employee development skills. Applying the ADDIE model taught me how to structure training that is both engaging and effective, while the interactive components, like the icebreaker, movement‑based game, and Kahoot showed me how to keep participants actively involved. Teaching the SBI model and the 4‑step resolution process deepened my understanding of conflict management and improved my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. Working with my team also helped me practice shared facilitation and professional delivery. This experience prepared me to design and lead training sessions that support healthier communication, stronger teamwork, and more productive workplace relationships.
